Filling the time...

Hey guys...I don´t know if anybody checks this anymore, but just in case...

As you know, we are in Lima, and we fly out tomorrow night at 11:55. Pray for safety. We have a really short layover in Houston, so pray that our plane leaves Lima in time. Missing a plane is not on the itinerary. Well...Thanks for everything! See you guys soon!

FINISHING UP...

Hey guys...

We are in Lima, and everything is going fine. All of the teams should be in tonight (except for a few stragglers coming in Thursday). Everybody's travels have gone mostly well, minus a few discomforts (some people had up to twenty-two hour bus rides). It is so cool to see everyone again, but Lima is REALLY expensive! Thank you for your continued prayers.

FELIZ CUMPLEANO...ish

Well...If you have read Audra´s latest post, you know about my week. It was eventful! I have recovered, though. To answer a few questions...Yes, I am DEFINITELY coming back to choir, Linda Bass! I want to do the same kids (move up to second grade). Lynda Mote-You got it...Colton´s is great! Garry Upton (and everybody)...We fly in August 1 at 9:13 AM.

Well...I have an announcement! Today...is my half birthday! I am officially nineteen and a half! We had eggs for breakfast. Audra and I cooked them, but Tommy was a party pooper and didn´t want to participate in the celebration, even though it is also his half birthday!

We went to the school yesterday to teach "first and second grade" English. It ended up being first though sixth grade. It was nuts...muchos niños! We taught numbers and colors. Again...NUTS! They were so loud, and there were only two teachers for all of the grades. We taught them to count to twenty.

We have six more days in the village, and seven more days until we get to shower! How exciting! Thank you for your prayers, everybody!

FUN STUFF...

Today...We did laundry. We were chased by these two bees whose stingers are at least an inch long, and they land booty-first, so if they land on a person, that´s it...instant death. Well...slight exaggeration, but I think that would be an allergic reaction for the ages.

Other than the bees, everything is relatively calm here. We held our second Bible study last night, this time at five, instead of eight, but it was still REALLY cold. We had our faithful attender, Lucho, and one girl who he more or less forced to come. She is a really sweet girl, though, and when we were done, they were like ¨Can we read more?¨ So, of course, we did. We read from Romans 8, the second time, and it seemed to hit home. I hope so.

Anyway...That´s about all. Here are some ¨paso a paso´s¨ for all of you who don´t know. Step 1: Just hit the comments, at the bottom of this post. Step 2: Post under änonymous.¨ Step 3: Sign your name. That´s just for those of you that don´t know how to post. Maybe I will hear from more of you. If that´s still to complicated, drop me a note at hereami.sendme@hotmail.com. Thank you guys for everything!

FELIZ

So...The only news I have for tonight is the best news EVER (for right now, that is).

I GOT ACCEPTED INTO BAPTIST SCHOOL!!! Yeah...some of you may not have even known that I was waiting (anxiously) for that, but it was going out in my next prayer mail! We are throwing a party in our casa tonight, and if you would like to have a little party of your own for me, I definitely give you permission. Also, we have a baño, now, FINALLY. Thank you guys so much for your prayers!!!

FAITHFUL...

Matthew 7:7-11

We finally arrived in Huayacundo Arma this morning at about 6 AM, via a combi (small van/bus) which carried 26 people, and left Huaytara at 4 AM. It was nuts. Somebody needed to brush their teeth.

Anyway...When we arrived in Huaytara last night, we had a note from Dave saying that we now had electricity and a baño! This is good news, but the lady providing the baño may have changed her mind, so we are going to talk to her whenever Tommy gets ready to. Hopefully, she will be nice. She told the team we could use it, but she is retracting that offer, now. We are not yet sure about somebody to cook for us because we have no contact with the team that was here last week. We are currently waiting for a little pop-up, saying we have a new e-mail from Dave or Phil.

Alright...You should leave encouraging comments or e-mails (hereami.sendme@hotmail.com). More than that, however, you should PRAY. God has shown me so much this summer about the power of prayer, and I don´t want the constant prayers to stop. Thank you guys so much for everything! Pray for me specifically these next three weeks for patience and focus. We are planning to leave here the 22nd of July because the next week is Peru´s independence day, and traveling is difficult, so we will travel to Lima the 23rd most likely. Thank you, again!

In His name.
